Tol-Eleni is a large atoll amid the Nexus. Three tall white and gray tipped mountains lay on the North, East and South sides of the Isle. Their dark stone faces are pocked with dragon dens and caves, enough to hold hundreds of dragons. But so far the Isle's population has remained small.
The Isle's leader is a woman by the name of Morel. She is said to have the blood of the ancient Umbar in her, but she will neither confirm nor deny this rumor. The Isle folk grow most of their own food in the protective arms of the mountains.
A large forest lays between the North mountain and the East, spilling out from between them towards the great bay.
Across the bay to the South, horse like creatures (Hamba in the Old Tongue) are bread and raised. Long sleek creatures with spirit and grace, and shorter, stockier work beasts for the farmers.
The beaches are glittering white with fine, pale sand. Except for the small Southern shore of Aster Larč that is black as the shades of night and is said to shine like dark stars in the first light of the morn.
Near the forest at the foot of Dol-Itrum, the Eastern mountain, is a large Flat of clean swept stone. It is the landing Flat for all arriving dragons and the entrance of the inner Caverns. The Caverns are where many of the people live and where the riders meet. Many hope to be riders or are related to one someway or another.
The people of Tol-Eleni are friendly folk and greet any new visitors kindly.
